Hunterston PARC has the potential to transform the current economic prospects to drive regeneration and bring prosperity to the West Coast of Scotland.
At a regional level, the recently announced Ayrshire Growth Deal – funded by both Scottish and UK governments and investment support from Scottish Enterprise who are partnering in the PARC development. The North Ayrshire local development plan 2 – is expected to act as a major economic stimulus, which the site is ideally positioned to support.
Hunterston Parc is central to this ambitious growth agenda.
Supporting the UK's offshore wind sector
Peel Ports Clydeport has signalled its intention to invest up to £150 million in the redevelopment of the Hunterston marine yard in Ayrshire, as it prepares the site to support the UK’s offshore wind sector.
Hunterston PARC granted special development status
Hunterston Port and Resource Campus (PARC) has been granted national development status under the Scottish government’s National Planning Framework 4 (NPF4), creating opportunities for a slew of new renewable energy developments to come onstream.

Energy infrastructure expert, SSE Energy Solutions, has signed a strategic partnership with the owners of Hunterston Port and Resource Campus (Hunterston PARC) to provide renewable energy for the proposed development of the site.
